Book: Orphan Train, by Christina Baker Kline

Book: Orphan Train, by Christina Baker Kline

Two plots a past and a present bring together an young and old woman who are there for each other. I couldn’t help but think it would make a great movie in the Fried Green Tomatoes tradition or any other where the past and present are knitted together. Sure enough, it looks as though a firm is developing a feature movie based on the book. It was a great book to end the summer with; a link to true history where somewhere in the range of 250,000 children made their way to the Midwest on trains from the East Coast. Its not a new book but very much worth the read to see how generations can heal each other and befriend each other.
