The critical few metrics and measures
I’ve been researching the critical few metrics and measures I should be tracking about my health and here is my current working list. Hip circumference is more for women and obviously PSA and Free Testosterone for the guys. The one that is simple that always comes up for me is waist circumference.
That’s at the naval waist circumference. For me, there are a lot of measures that I’d like to track if I had more time but these are the key ones for me. Of them, all you have to do is understand the life insurance company measures your waist when they do your intake exam. They do it for a reason. Regardless of height, if your waist is over 40 inches, you are likely in store for some metabolic trouble. If it makes you feel better, do your waist to height ratio and really try to keep it at 51 or below.
More on the other metrics later but wanted to share my existing list.
